I Want to Thank You

I want to thank you Lord,
for being so close to me so far this day.
With your help, I haven't been impatient,
lost my temper, been grumpy, judgemental,
or envious of anyone, but I will be getting out of bed
in a few minutes and I think that I
will really need your help then. Amen.

Abandonment Prayer

Father I abandon myself into your hands.
Do with me as you wish.
And for whatever you do with me,
I thank you.
I am ready for anything,
I will accept whatever you ask.

I desire nothing, Lord,
but that your will be done,
both in me and in all your creatures.

Into your hands I commend my spirit.
I give myself to you, my God,
with all the love of my heart,
because I love you,
and this love drives me to give myself,
to abandon myself completely,
and with total confidence,
into you hands,
For you are my Father.

Jubilee Prayer

Spirit of Jesus enligthen the eyes of our hearts.
Lead us to recognise you in each other and in our home.
Help us to appreciate the signs of hope in our parish community.
And make us sensitive to all that is in need of healing.

Spirit of Jesus poured out in flames of fire
upon your disciples at Pentecost, inflame our hearts.
We pray that we, your body in this place on earth,
may brighten each other's lives with the brightness of Christ,
as we face forward with new faith, new hope and new love.

Prayer for those who have Died

May the angels lead you into paradise;
may the martyrs come to welcome you,
and take you to the Holy City,
the new and eternal Jesusalem.
May the choirs of angels welcome you
and lead you to Abraham's Side;
where Lazarus is poor no longer
may you find eternal rest. Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord
and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.

May their souls and
the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
rest in peace. Amen.

Prayer of the Bereaved

Lord Jesus, you know the darkness of our grief;
the pain and emptiness that fills our hearts,
as we grieve the passing of one we love.
We thank you for the gifts we have received through them.
We treasure the memories we have
and we place our loved ones before you.
Grant us strength for our journey
and help us to be aware of your presence
when all seems dark and hopeless.
Help us to live life to the full
until our time comes to return home;
united with you and with all whom we love.
Amen.

May the prayers of Mary
the Mother of God,
who stood by the cross
as her son was dying,
help us who mourn
and accompany all of us
in our time of need. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
Hail our Life, our Sweetness and our Hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then most gracious advocate,
Thine eyes of mercy towards us.
And after this, our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Send Your Angel To Holy Mass

O holy Angel, at my side,
Go to the church for me,
Kneel in my place, at holy Mass,
Where I desire to be.

At Offertory, in my stead,
Take all I am and own,
And place it as a sacrifice
Upon the Altar Throne.

At holy Consecration’s bell,
Adore with Seraph’s love,
My Jesus, hidden in the Host,
Come down from Heaven above.

And when the priest communion
takes,
Oh, bring my Lord to me,
That His sweet Heart may rest on
mine,
And I His temple be.

Prayer to our Guardian Angels

O Angels of God, protectors of the human race,
be our guides throughout our lives.
Inspire us to do always what is right,
and lead us to Heaven.
We place in your hands our petitions
and the requests of our loved ones.
Bring peace with Justice to our country
and to the world.
Place all our requests at the feet of Jesus
and beg him to grant us these favours. Amen.
